I just installed the RDX drive and 500GB cartridge and connected it to my iMAC. It took longer to unpack it from the box than setting it up including formatting the cartridge to MacOS, and Time Machine automatically backs up my hard disk and all of its files. It took 5 mins to be up and running and simply by plugging in a power and USB cords that were included. Now I have a full back-up and removeble archive of my system!
